30 Day Challenge; Day Twenty-Eight- Describe Your Town

Hello folks, it's once again time for another post in my 30 Day Challenge x. Today's post is about my town; Perth. I have lived in this little city since birth, and I genuinely love it. It's one of the prettiest places in one of the most beautiful counties in the world.

The key areas to visit in a trip to Perth are;
1. The 2 Inch's in the city, the North and South Inch are the largest parks in the city and offer a play park and sports centre, a boating pond and occasional fairs and much much more. They are great for just sitting and enjoying a picnic at too.
2. Possibly the most 'famous' attraction in Perth is the nearby Scone Palace. Scone was the capital of the 'Kingdom' of Scotland in centuries gone by, and the Palace was once a crowning place of Kings. Now-a-days it boasts a maze, expansive play park and a lovely tea room. It also has a lot of peacocks that roam the grounds.
3. If you're visiting Perth then taking in a game at the local football ground, McDiarmid Park, is a cheap day out. While I cannot guarantee that my team, St Johnstone, will always win- it is usually great fun for all.
4. The city centre of Perth features almost every shop you could wish for. From Primark to Starbucks, Topshop to H&M. While the shopping centre isn't huge, and the variety is at times a little narrow, it's definitely worth visiting for both the little independent shops and the huge retail stores. The local cinema is well worth a visit too and will soon boast and IMAX screen.
5. Possibly my favourite part of Perth is the local River Tay, while it has very few actual activities involved with it, the river is the focal point for Perth as it almost splits it in two. The North Inch is right beside it and there is also Norie Miller and Bellwood Park which all boast excellent views of the beautiful river.

There you have my favourite parts of the town. I'll be back tomorrow with another post in my 30 Day Challenge but until then, enjoy your week!
