BLOGMAS DAY TEN // 'For Him' Gift Guide!

Hey guys! It's time for the second instalment in my little gift guide series and this time, it's the turn of the boys! I will link the ladies equivalent here, but let's dive into my picks for this Christmas! As before, there will be an expensive and an affordable option so

For Dad;

This is actually what I bought my own Dad this year, although the version I purchased was considerably cheaper than this beauty! This is actually from Urban Outfitters, who I always forget about when buying gifts but can have some really amazing, individual stuff! This is obviously a present that works best for a Dad with a record collection or just a love for music- but I'm pretty sure everyone would appreciate this!

The weather has finally taken a turn for the freezing in Scotland this year, and regardless of whether or not the men in my life are prepared to admit it, it is definitely scarf weather no matter what gender you are. This John Rocha piece isn't cheap considering it's my affordable option but it's really just an example of the millions of different scarfs there are out there for the Dad's of the World!

For your Brother;

Every boy, particularly teenage/young gentlemen, should smell their best at all times (actually, all people in general should in my humble opinion!) I have a couple of friends that wear Hugo Boss fragrances and they're all lovely- plus these handy gift sets that almost every fragrance company releases at Christmas are perfect for saving that little bit of money. Additionally, they often come in boxes that are incredibly easy to wrap- which is extra helpful if you're in a hurry!

I actually saw this and wanted it for myself, but I'll encourage some momentary gender stereotyping by saying that this is the definition of a 'boys toy.' The iHelicoptor links up to your iPhone or android and you control it from that, which is also really cool and makes it accessible for the majority of young men nowadays. It's already discounted on Amazon, but if I see this drop in price after Christmas I will be superbly tempted to buy it for myself!

For your Uncle;

As I mentioned with the female equivalent of this post, 'Uncle' pretty much constitutes any male member of your extended family! This feels a little like gender stereotyping too as I definitely wouldn't shoehorn GOTG into being a boy's film- I absolutely adored it when I saw it back when it first came out and it's genuinely hilarious. Worth a watch for just about anybody!

Everybody needs a hat, and Topman have some really great patterns available this year- all of which are typically on-trend and cosy as hell! I particularly love this fairisle version and the £12 price tag means it's expensive enough to be a nice gift, but cheap enough to not break the bank!

For your Grandad;

This is a total stereotype and I actually wasn't planning on putting something as obvious as a pair of slippers into this, but these caught my eye on the Debenhams website and they're so, so cute! Maine New England are a really great brand too, and these look incredibly cosy! Perfect for any Grandpa's feet in Winter!

Very apt for any of the most cynical Grandads in your lives- this is a really great gift as once again it comes in an easy-to-wrap box as well as having the added bonus of being pretty damn hilarious! The mug itself is really funny but the addition of the portable box of mints mean that your grumpy Grandad can carry a warning wherever he goes!

For your Best-Friend;

This is actually really cool because it's a speaker that involves no wires or direct connection with your phone- making it suitable for almost all smartphones and androids on the market. It also looks like a brick of lego which is always a good design feature and at less than twenty pound- this is amazing value for money!

This goes along a similar line of the whole 'everyone should smell nice' theme to this blog post and is also from a really well known and respected brand. Jack Wills have recently put their stock into Boots all over the country and most importantly, their sets are in the infamous 3 for 2 Boots offer that pretty much everyone takes advantage of on an annual basis. This contains pretty much everything a guy would need and would put you straight into the best friend slot!

There we have it, the second part of my Gift Guide trilogy for you all. I hope you've had a lovely day and I'll see you tomorrow!
