Naked Palette Review

Hi there folks, today I have a little follow up post to my review of the Naked 2 Palette back in December. I recently purchased the original Naked palette and thought I'd review that too!

The palette comes in a fairly poorly designed felt covered box, which isn't a patch on the Naked 2/3 tin boxes. The felt gets covered in foundation and make-up marks really easily and and the magnetic 'snap shut' feature is a bit flawed too, plus the mirror- whilst adequate- is not as large as the other versions either! I really hope they redesign this sometime soon.

The Naked Palette comes with two shimmery light shades, Virgin, a white highlight with silver undertones, and Sin a pinker shade that works brilliantly as a neutral base for any look. Then the first of the matte shades, Naked is a taupey brown colour that works brilliantly as a matte crease shade or as a sweep of colour across the lid. Sidecar is one of my favourite shades in the palette, a super glittery brown shade that looks fab on it's own or with Half Baked for a gold glitter smokey eye

Buck is basically a darker version of Naked, and again its perfect as a crease shade. Half Baked is my favourite shade in both the palettes, a gorgeous gold shade that shimmers on the lid and makes any eye look genuinely stunning. Smog is another beautiful shade, a little darker than HB and slightly less creamy, but beautiful none-the-less. Darkhorse is a deep green toned brown colour that is lovely in the crease or as part of a smokey eye.

Toasted is a pretty pink champagne shade that is super, super glittery and works brilliantly as a base or on its own. Hustle is a deep cocoa brown shade that actually has grey undertones running through it, brilliant for a smokey eye or as a brown eye liner shade. Creep is an incredibly pigmented deep blue with silver glitter flakes that is really bold on the eye. Not for everyone, but brilliant with Gunmetal, another grey/silvery blue shade, to create a blue smoked out look.

There we have it, another brilliant addition to my collection. You can get the Naked Palette from Debenhams for £37, which I'll link here x. See you on Tuesday!
